Non-Profit Organization Information

Visual Editors, NFP was founded in 2004 as a 501(c)(3) public charity organized for educational purposes. A volunteer board of directors serves thousands of registered members. The charity provides nearly all of its program activities for free to the general public.

Visual Editors:
• Operates an e-learning Web site that serves student and professional journalists in newsrooms and classrooms around the world.
• Raises money for journalism scholarships.
• Produces multimedia training workshops in Chicago, Toronto, Orlando, London and Berlin.
• Develops social media resources like the @media_pros Twitter feed that serves thousands of followers with alerts to journalism job postings.

Visual Editors board of directors positions have been volunteer jobs since the founding of the charity and the group’s federal tax ID number is 34-2015808
